The Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science provide theoretical, methodological, experimental and applicative skills in the fundamental areas of computer science. At the end of their studies, students will possess effective problem solving skills and the conceptual and technological competences for the design, deveopment and maintainance of the applications required by the modern Information Society.
The students are stimulated to acquire knowledge of the industry and business world through internships, seminars, meetings and dissertations in cooperation with companies. Such experiences favour a quick, profitable and satisfactory professional integration.
A Bachelor’s Degree with extensive computer science content: about 2/3 of the credits. The courses consist of classroom lessons, often complemented by practical laboratories and projects. The last year of studies includes an internship at a company.
The Master’s degree deepens the foundational knowledge and exposes the students to advanced and innovative themes of computer science through a rich and wide-ranging offer of courses. Currently, three majors (major study paths) are available: “Artificial intelligence”, “Internet mobile and security” and “Programming languages and systems”.
The Brain Mind and Computer Science (BMCS) doctoral program is the result of a joint effort of the computer science, the applied cognitive sciences, and the neuroscience and social sciences groups of the University of Padua.
