The Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is the degree with the widest offer of course units in the field of computer science at the University of Padua. The first two years provide the mathematical and computer science foundations. The third year introduces advanced topics and offers the chance to do an internship in a company.

The graduates will receive a broad-spectrum training that allow them tackle a variety of problems in different fields, and to adapt to the continuous and rapid evolution of information technology. Basic topics, such as programming, algorithms and data structures, databases, operating systems and computer networks and software engineering are complemented by courses that introduce the student to more advanced aspects such as web technologies, advanced programming, computer security and artificial intelligence.

This bachelor’s degree provides solid knowledge in many key areas of computer science, both in their foundational and practical aspects, specifically driven by the needs of the ICT industries and market.

Graduates in IT will be able to work in the fields of software application development, network and IT management, but also as webmasters and designers of information systems. Furthermore, they will be able to collaborate in applied research activities in industries, universities and research institutions.
